One God, One Message: Islam and the Universal Call of the Pcrophets

Islam is the religion of truth and the religion to which all the prophets called humanity from the dawn of mankind. It existed with the existence of human beings on this earth and is the: religion of all the prophets. Allah says
Qur’an 3:19)
“Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.” (
Islam means submission and surrender to Allah alone, outwardly and inwardly, according to: what He revealed through His messengers. Allah says:
(Qur’an 3:85)
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.”
Islam carries the same fundamental message brought by all the prophets. It continued throughout the centuries. When polytheism first appeared among the people of Noah, Allah sent His Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) with the message of Islam.
Then Allah sent His messengers one after another, conveying the religion of Islam to their respective peoples whenever polytheism appeared and the light of Islam became obscured ﴿ Qur’an 21:25)وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ﴾ Allah says: .
“And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him: ‘There is no deity except Me, so worship Me.’”
The Qur’an is one of the greatest proofs that Islam is the true religion. From the time of its revelation until today, it has remained a divine revelation, and no one has been able to disprove its divine origin.
Islam is a universal religion representing the way of the prophets and their followers. It was proclaimed by them throughout the earliest ages of human history until the final Prophethood of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
(Noah, peace be upon him, said: Qur’an 10:72)
But if you turn away [from accepting my doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allah], then no reward have I asked of you, my reward is only from Allah, and I have been commanded to be one of the Muslims (those who submit to Allah’s Will)

Allah commanded Abraham, the father of the prophets, peace be upon him, to submit:
Qur’an 2:131)﴿ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ رَبُّهُ أَسْلِمْ ۖ قَالَ أَسْلَمْتُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾ When his Lord said to him, “Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!” He said, “I have submitted myself (as a Muslim) to the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).”
Abraham and Jacob, peace be upon them, instructed their children:
(Qur’an 2:132)
and this (submission to Allah, Islam) was enjoined by Ibrahim (Abraham) upon his sons and by Ya’qub (Jacob), (saying), “O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except in the Faith of Islam (as Muslims – Islamic Monotheism).”

Their descendants replied:
“We worship your God and the God of your fathers—Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac—one God, and to Him we are Muslims.”
Joseph, peace be upon him, prayed:
(Qur’an 12:101)
“Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous.”
Moses, peace be upon him, said to his people:
“O my people, if you have believed in Allah, then rely upon Him, if you are Muslims.”
The magicians who believed in Moses said:
(Qur’an 7:126
“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims.”

The Queen of Sheba, Bilqis, said:
“My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allah, Lord of the worlds.”
The disciples of Jesus, peace be upon him, said:
“Then when ‘Iesa (Jesus) came to know of their disbelief, he said: “Who will be my helpers in Allah’s Cause?” Al-Hawariun (the disciples) said: “We are the helpers of Allah; we believe in Allah, and bear witness that we are Muslims (i.e. we submit to Allah).”
And when a group among the People of the Book heard the Qur’an, they said:
“We believe in it. Indeed, it is the truth from our Lord. Indeed, we were Muslims even before it.”
Allah also commanded the final Messenger, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, to declare:
“Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. He has no partner. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.”)
Thus, in the language of the Qur’an, Islam is not merely the name of a religion specific to one historical community; rather, it is the name of the common religion preached by all the prophets: submission to Allah alone and sincere worship of Him.
The Unity of the Prophets’ Message
The fundamental message of all the prophets was one: the worship of Allah alone, belief in Him, obedience to Him, and rejection of all forms of associating partners with Him.
As for the detailed laws and specific rulings, they could differ from one nation to another according to their circumstances and times. Allah says:
To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allah willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so strive as in a race in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to Allah; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.
The great principles of faith, however, remained consistent across all divine revelations: monotheism, sincerity to Allah, righteous conduct, justice, morality, and calling people to what is good while warning them against evil.
the laws that differed between nations could change according to different times and circumstances, while the fundamental principles—those containing universal benefit and wisdom—remained constant in all divine laws.
Every prophet called his people to every kind of good and warned them against every kind of evil. The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“There was no prophet before me except that it was his duty to guide his nation to the best of what he knew was good for them and to warn them against the worst of what he knew was bad for them.”
(Sahih Muslim)
Conclusion
Therefore, the message of the prophets was one in its foundation: Islam—the submission to Allah alone, the worship of Him without partners, faith in His messengers, and adherence to His guidance.

The prophets differed in some details of legislation, but they were united in the essential message of Tawhid (monotheism) and sincere submission to the Creator.
Islam calls humanity to move from the worship of created beings to the worship of the Creator, from the darkness of polytheism to the light of monotheism, and from injustice and spiritual bondage to the justice and guidance revealed by Allah.
