For the fifth consecutive year, the Malaysian Hajj Board (Tabung Haji) has won the “Labbaitum” Award for Excellence in serving the Pilgrims of Allah. It also secured the Diamond Award for the Hajj season of 1447 AH during the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s annual ceremony, held in Makkah under the theme “Khitamuhu Misk” (A Fragrant Finale).

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, His Excellency Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, honored the Hajj affairs offices that achieved the highest beneficiary satisfaction rates for services provided during the Hajj season. The Malaysian Hajj mission was recognized for its outstanding performance in training, preparing, and organizing its pilgrims, which earned it the highest rating in the beneficiary satisfaction index.
Tabung Haji: Decades of Dedication and Preparation
For nearly twenty years, the Malaysian Hajj service office, “Tabung Haji,” has been conducting practical training courses across various Malaysian states to fully prepare pilgrims. These courses cover all Hajj rituals using life-sized replicas of the Holy Kaaba and Mount Arafat. They also include educational and instructional lessons on the Ihram and its types, the timing of the standing at Arafat, Tawaf Al-Ifadah, and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwa.
Key Factors Behind the Malaysian Excellence
The continuous success of the Malaysian mission is attributed to several main pillars:

Integrated System: Providing comprehensive care that begins with early registration and preparation, extends to field and medical services in the Holy Sites, and continues with post-return follow-ups.

Technological Utilization: Relying on digital services and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications to streamline procedures and improve service quality.

Discipline and Organization: Official praise for the high level of discipline demonstrated by Malaysian pilgrims, alongside effective coordination with task forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Pioneers of the “Makkah Route” Initiative
It is worth noting that Malaysia was among the first of seven countries to benefit from the “Makkah Route” Initiative. This initiative, launched by the Saudi Ministry of Interior, aims to serve pilgrims using the highest technical, logistical, and human capabilities. It stands as an extension of the Saudi leadership’s care and pride in the honor of serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.

Objective of the Initiative:
To provide the highest quality of service and comfort for pilgrims throughout their journey. It enables them to complete their entry procedures into the Kingdom directly from their home country’s airports, allowing them to be transported straight to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah upon arrival.
