Embassy of India in Cairo has been giving utmost importance to the development of stronger cultural ties and people-to-people contacts between our two friendly countries. With the active support of the different governmental bodies of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Embassy organizes various activities which symbolized the depth of our cultural interaction. In addition to creating awareness about the diversity of India and its complex cultural identity, those activities have also been a vehicle for projecting a positive message about strong and deep-rooted India and Egypt relations.
This year (2026), India and Egypt are celebrating 78 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Its an important milestone that reflects the enduring friendship between the two countries. To mark this significant occasion, the Embassy of India is also commemorating the 77th Foundation Day of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).The event will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday, 9th April 2026, at the Embassy premises, located at 5, Aziz Abaza Street, Zamalek, Cairo.
ICCR has been at the forefront of promoting India’s cultural relations and fostering mutual understanding and goodwill worldwide. The event will celebrate the strong and vibrant cultural exchanges and cooperation between our two rich civilizations.

الذكرى السابعة والسبعين ليوم تأسيس المجلس الهندي للعلاقات الثقافية
تولي سفارة الهند بالقاهرة أهمية قصوى لتعزيز الروابط الثقافية وتوطيد علاقات التواصل بين شعبي البلدين الصديقين. وبدعم نشط من مختلف الجهات الحكومية في جمهورية مصر العربية، تنظم السفارة مجموعة متنوعة من الفعاليات التي تعكس عمق التفاعل الثقافي بين الجانبين. وإلى جانب تعزيز الوعي بتنوع الهند وهويتها الثقافية المركبة، تعد هذه الفعاليات أيضًا وسيلة لنقل رسالة إيجابية حول قوة وعمق العلاقات بين الهند ومصر.
تحتفل الهند ومصر هذا العام (2026) بمرور 78 عامًا على إقامة العلاقات الدبلوماسية بينهما، وهي لحظة تاريخية مهمة تعكس عمق الصداقة بين البلدين. واحتفاءً بهذه المناسبة المهمة، تقيم سفارة الهند أيضًا احتفالية بمناسبة مرور 77 عاماً على تأسيس المجلس الهندي للعلاقات الثقافية (ICCR). تقام الاحتفالية في تمام الساعة 4:30 مساءً يوم الخميس الموافق 9 أبريل 2026، بمقر السفارة الكائن في 5 شارع عزيز أباظة، الزمالك، القاهرة.
وقد كان المجلس الهندي للعلاقات الثقافية في طليعة الجهات المعنية بتعزيز العلاقات الثقافية للهند، والتفاهم المتبادل وحسن النوايا على مستوى العالم. وتحتفي هذه الفعالية بقوة وحيوية علاقات التبادل الثقافي والتعاون بين حضارتينا العريقتين.
